The Top 10 Things I Learned From Volunteering
1. People like to take volunteering selfies.
2. Everyone works as a team.
3. The job gets done when you stay focused on your specific task and not on others'.
4. Music makes volunteering enjoyable.
5. If you want to ruin someone's volunteering experience, make him/her feel that there is nothing for him/her to do.
6. PEOPLE GET ALONG while they're volunteering.
7. Everyone leaves happier than when they came in.
8. People want to make a difference in the world.
9. People are good.
10. Something about volunteering that changes teenagers. They go from not caring about anything to taking life very seriously. This impressed me the most. Hint: It would do a lot of good for troubled teens to volunteer.
